EXPLORE NEW WINDOWS
There are two types of window installations: full replacements & retrofit/inserts. In most cases, a full replacement is the correct approach when replacing windows in an existing home or building. Retrofits can technically be used anytime, but they are not an appropriate standard approach and are only recommended in some circumstances.
Check out more information here on full replacement and retrofit installs to see which one is recommended for your project. When comparing estimates, it’s important to know the type of install being suggested so you can compare apples to apples!
Have a Look
Window Styles
With everything from the maximum ventilation of casement windows to the modern luxury of folding windows, AGranger can work with various manufacturers to find the look you want.

Horizontal sliders have two or more separate panes of glass and open by sliding left or right. Higher quality windows will open and close seamlessly and easily as the materials that comprise the tracks, rollers, etc. are of higher quality and typically have a much longer lifespan than lower quality or older windows.
Vertical sliders will open by sliding up and down. Higher quality windows will open and close seamlessly and easily as the materials that comprise the tracks, rollers, etc. are of higher quality and typically have a much longer lifespan than lower quality or older windows.

Casement windows have a hinge on one side and open outward like a door. They often are operated with a crank style handle and can allow for full opening and maximum ventilation. They work well with fixed windows and can be combined in a variety of ways for your personal preference and style. By eliminating the window track, less dust and debris will be collected in areas that you will have to clean, making them a lower maintenance option.

Awning windows have a hinge on the top side of the opening portion and swing outward from the bottom. Like casements, they are often operated with a crank style handle and work well when paired with fixed windows for optimal style configurations.

Folding windows are unique in that they consist of multiple panels that are hinged together that fold and stack to open. This design comes in different configurations, such as bi-fold or multi-fold, and provides complete unobstructed views. Folding windows are a modern luxury that are popular in kitchens, living rooms, or spaces leading to decks or patios.

A skylight is a roof-mounted window that provides a natural light source.

TYPES OF WINDOWS
Whether you’re looking for the energy efficiency of metal-clad windows or the highly customizable features of wood, the team at AGranger will ensure your new windows exceed your expectations.
Vinyl
Vinyl windows are made primarily from PVC, a versatile and durable plastic material. They are a popular choice for residential homes due to their low maintenance, energy efficiency, and affordability. It’s important to choose high quality manufacturers and product lines, as lower quality products will age prematurely, and can warp or have failures.
Wood
Wood windows have frames and sashes that are primarily constructed from wood. Wood windows are known for their high-end aesthetic appeal and are highly customizable as they can be stained or painted to match the design of your home. While wood offers an high-end elevated look, they do require some maintenance.
Metal-Clad
Metal-clad windows have an exterior frame, or cladding, that is made from metal – often aluminum, while the interior frame is made of a different material, often wood or PVC. The exterior cladding provides a barrier to help protect the wood or PVC from the outside elements and can greatly extend their lifespan. Metal-clad windows are also very energy efficient and are very popular aesthetically.
Composite
Composite windows are made from a combination of materials which together provide a high performance, low maintenance solution. Available in a wide range of colours and finishes, they can be customized to fit a variety of applications and preferences. These high-end options may come with a price tag, however their durability, longevity and ascetic appeal provide a long-term investment for your home.
